SUSU Alumnus Amina Akhmadulina Will Fight for Gold at the Chessboxing World Championship

September 24th through 29th, the Chessboxing World Championship will be held in Serbia. Alumnus of South Ural State University Amina Akhmadulina will be representing the Chelyabinsk Region in this tournament.

Amina will be defending her title of the World Champion. She won the right to participate in the major tournament through a tight competition: first she won the Russian Championship in Moscow, next she participated in the training camp as a member of the national team, and in August she consolidated her success with her victory in the Cup of Russia in Saint Petersburg.

Amina Akhmadulina is one of the most decorated chessboxing athletes in our country. A multiple Champion of Russia, she became the World Champion last year. Now, she has the task of defending this status by winning the gold medal once again.

One more representative of Chelyabinsk, Sergey Faizulloev, will go to Serbia together with Amina. Both athletes are members of the Burevestnik Sports Club at SUSU.
