To identify and support university teachers working in higher education programs and demonstrating outstanding achievements in teaching and academic work, SUSU has held an internal competitive selection of applicants to the "Alfa-Future Grants for University Teachers" program.
34 teaching staff members participated in the contest.
The first place was awarded to Vladimir Shepelev, Candidate of Sciences (Engineering), Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment. Next, he will take part in the all-Russian selection held by AO Alfa-Bank.
Five university teachers also took leading positions in the rankings and will qualify to participate in the all-Russian selection, should Alfa-Bank decide so:
1. Dmitry Ardashev, Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Automated Manufacturing Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Technology.
2. Ruslan Peshkov, Candidate of Sciences (Engineering), Associate Professor, Head of the Laboratory for Launch Vehicles and Unmanned Aerospace Vehicles, Institute of Engineering and Technology.
3. Andrey Epimakhov, Doctor of Sciences (History), Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Russian and International History, Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities.
4. Mikhail Tsymbler, Doctor of Sciences (Physics and Mathematics), Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technologies Research Centre.
5. Igor Yachikov, Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor, Professor of the Department of Informational and Measuring Technology, School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.
