On August 29th, the Education Transformation Centre of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo jointly with SUSU presented a “Core Code” advanced training program for specialists of regional industrial enterprises and teaching staff of Chelyabinsk universities, which is aimed at designing and implementing the general-engineering core of academic programs.
Training will include 3 modules and will last from October 6th through December 5th. This stage is the first step in the extensive process of the engineering education transformation, the goal of which is to build an up-to-date, effective and adaptive educational environment meeting modern requirements of industry and labour market. PG KONAR acts as the industrial partner of this project.
“I would like to express our gratitude to the leadership of South Ural State University and all the participants of the first stage. Together we have successfully created an educational program in one of the most dynamically developing regions of our country. However, the sky is the limit, so we keep moving forward,” noted the program director Olga Nazaikinskaia.
This program allows its participants to master the modern methods of developing training courses and learn how to clearly determine the competences. This will provide for a unique opportunity to actively facilitate the modernization of engineering education in our region.
“Currently we are at a significant stage, which requires to focus all our efforts on it and work tirelessly. This stage is aimed at the formation of competent teachers, who work hard on improving the academic programs and developing new educational modules and subjects every day,” shared SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner. “Thanks to that, each educational event will be filled with new ideas and concepts aimed at improving the quality of education!”
The head of the SUSU Department of Pyrometallurgical and Foundry Technologies Pavel Gamov presented the principles and ideas of the approach of transformation of an engineering academic program, developed over the last one hear and a half, from the point of view of designing and start of implementation.
Training is free of charge for each participant, and a certificate of advanced training is awarded by the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo upon completion.
