South Ural State University, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Chelyabinsk Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 148 have signed a cooperation agreement. The document provides for the development of joint educational initiatives, including the creation of special “Prosecutor’s Classes” in schools of our region.
In the Chelyabinsk Region, school pupils will be able to take the first step towards the profession of a prosecutor while studying at school. SUSU, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Chelyabinsk Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 148 have joined efforts to create special “Prosecutor’s Classes”. The cooperation agreement opens up new opportunities for early career guidance and training of qualified personnel.
“We will offer those tools in supplementary education that we already have today. Students would not only be motivated and professionally trained, but would also have certain advantages due to additional points and participation in competitive events,” notes SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner.
The project will become a continuation of the university’s existing interaction with the Prosecutor’s Office, within the framework of which jurisprudence students take practical training in the Prosecutor’s Office.
“This will allow future cadets to find themselves in life, receive supplementary judicial education, and decide on their choice of profession right now. And for us, it will help us hire young specialists who are maximally motivated to achieve results,” Prosecutor of the Chelyabinsk Region Igor Dongauzer emphasizes the importance of the agreement for the education system and the future human resources potential of our region.
The agreement was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk Region.
“We are creating a truly unified model for routing those students who are interested in this. They are already motivated, immersed in future activities, and come to the university. The educational programme is adapted for their possible employment in the Prosecutor's Office,” says Vitaliy Litke.
Department staff members and higher education teachers in the relevant field will be involved in the development of the curriculum for the specialized class.
“The class will open on September 1st of this year, the preliminary recruitment plan is 25-30 people. By analogy with engineering classes, part of the curriculum for this specialized class will be implemented with the involvement of Prosecutor's Office employees, as well as teachers of the SUSU Institute of Law. After signing the agreement, we will jointly begin to form and coordinate this plan,” says Director of the Lyceum Larisa Demchuk.
Participants of “Prosecutor’s Classes” will be able to get to know the profession of a lawyer in more detail, take specialized training and plan their professional path in advance.
