This document is a certificate of registration of the Database of “Tourist Potential of the Ural and Siberian Stories by D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak”, which was compiled for the designing of excursion programs and tourist service programs for the regions of the Urals and Siberia.
The database was compiled on the grounds of information from 18 Ural and 40 Siberian stories by D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak, covering the period from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. It includes information about 84 settlements, 46 ethnic groups and classes, 93 personalities, 18 minerals, 48 industries and technologies, 145 types of labour activity, 51 names of gastronomic dishes, and 125 objects of cultural, industrial and natural heritage, presented in the literary heritage by D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak.
This is not the first joint work by tourist students and Tatiana Tretiakova, Head of the Department of Tourism and Socio-Cultural Services, Doctor of Sciences (Pedagogy), Professor.
Literary tourism is one of the most widely represented topics of scientific research by the 4th-year student of the Tourism programme Maksim Kopyrin, who became the winner in the SUSU Intelligence category of the SUSU’s Best Representatives 2024 contest.
