Professor Sobhy Ahmed Azab El-Sohaimy from the Department of Production Technology and Catering Organization of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service is among the 2% of the world's best scientists according to the World's Top 2% Scientists ranking, organized by Stanford University jointly with Elsevier, the major international publishing house.
Every year, Stanford University selects 2% of the world's best scientists (100 thousand people) in 22 fields and 174 subfields of research. To calculate a scientist's rank, a formula is used which is based on the Hirsch index, number of articles in Scopus journals and Elsevier publications, as well as on other scientometric indicators.
In the ranking in his field of research (main field: Agriculture; subfield: Food Science), Professor El-Sohaimy is listed holding the 582nd place.
This is not the first victory of Professor El-Sohaimy. He was listed in the Stanford University World's Top 2% Scientists ranking in 2022 and 2023 as well.
Last year, Professor Sobhy El-Sohaimy was named among the Top 50 of Famous People of the Chelyabinsk Region in the Science category.
