Students of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service Visited the “We Have Defended the Peace — We Will Preserve the Peace” Exhibition

The Chelyabinsk Arts Centre presents the “We Have Defended the Peace — We Will Preserve the Peace”, an exhibition for all those interested in history, culture and art. This is a unique event dedicated to celebration of the Victory Day, which comprises works of art by the participants of the Great Patriotic War and by representatives of the post-war generation.

Students from groups СТ-221 and СТ-241 were hugely fascinated to attend the lecture by the leading art historian Iuliia Leonycheva, who unveiled the secrets and subtleties of the exhibited works for them.

“It has been an incredible immersion into our country’s history as seen by talented artists. I was amazed by the scale of the heroic deeds by our ancestors and by the depth of emotions portrayed on canvas. That was indeed a crucial event, which serves as a reminder of the price of the peace and freedom,” one of the students shared his impressions from the exhibition.

Students not only examined the works of art, but also asked questions, discussed and analysed each painting.

The “We Have Defended the Peace — We Will Preserve the Peace” exhibition became not just an ordinary event for students, but rather a real journey to the past, which helped them see all in one: the greatness of the heroic feat and the beauty of art.
