All those willing can get a chance to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of student life on the square in front of the main building of South Ural State University (76 Lenin Prospekt) on August 31st starting from 11:30. It is worth noting that this year the celebration will be held in a new festival-like format under the slogan of “A World of Possibilities”. It will be dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of SUSU and will become the first in a series of the anniversary events.
As the tradition goes, at 12:05 the SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner will hand over the figurative Student ID Card to freshmen. After that, the freshmen will make their oath and meet the directors of the university schools and institutes. Next, all students will receive their student ID cards in the university classrooms.
The main celebrations will start at 12:30: the festivities will include entertaining and interactive venues, master classes at the SUSU hobby studio, as well as performances by cover bands and DJs. The event will close with a small guitar concert and screening of a movie at the university student centre.
