Student Cybersports Competition to Be Held at SUSU

On May 13, a 3D Tactical Battle Cybersports competition will be held at the SUSU Institute of Sports, Tourism, and Service as part of the 2022-2023 Chelyabinsk Regional Games among Institutions of Higher Education.

3D Tactical Battle is a discipline of cybersports which uses a team-based computer game to simulate tactical battle. Each participant works with their team to control the point and achieve their goal.

Today, cybersports have entered the lives of interested young people alongside traditional sports. Cybersports are actively developing and are of great interest to Chelyabinsk residents.

The tournament will include 35 participants and 6 teams representing their institutions of higher education.

Program type is CS:GO (Counter Strike).

Matches are held using the Olympic knockout system. Each contest is held in the BO1 (until victory on one map), and the final match is held in the BO3 format (until two victories).

Video game fans will gather to determine the strongest team in the tournament.

As we have informed earlier, the second cybersports school in Russia, where future international stars will be trained, opened in Chelyabinsk recently.
