SUSU International Student Participated in the World Conference on Multipolarity

On April 29, 2023, a student of the Department of Management of the SUSU School of Economics and Management, and member of the Chelyabinsk Division of the Eurasian Youth Union and of the Novaya Rossiya (New Russia) movement Vivek Teiyatan Walappil presented a report at the World Conference on Multipolarity. Aleksandr Dugin, a Russian philosopher and political expert, and leader of the International Eurasian Movement, acted as the conference organizer and moderator. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming address to the participants. In his report Vivek spoke about the necessity of increasing the role of BRICS in the world, and of the Indian rupee in the international trade. Vivek also stressed the importance of good relations between India and Russia.

Among the event participants were politicians, experts, scientists, philosophers, journalists, writers, and public figures from around the world, including from countries of the Eastern, Southern and Western Asia, countries of the Pacific Rim, Eurasia, Europe, Africa, North and South America. The meeting was organized with the support from the International Eurasian Movement (Russia), Nova Resistência (Brazil), Initiative of the New International Order (Turkey), Thinkers Forum (China), and the International Russophile Movement.

Vivek was born in Kerala, South India. He is a 3rd-year student at the Department of Management of the School of Economics and Management taking training in the academic programme on International Economics and Trade. He has already obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Audit in India.

He outlined the necessity of increasing the role of BRICS and of the role of the Indian rupee in the international trade.

Vivek also drew attention to the relations between India and Russia: how much closer to each other these two countries become in the course of time. He spoke of the hypocrisy of the Western government and mass media.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov delivered a welcoming address. The meeting was headed by Aleksandr Dugin.
