South Ural State University became an interesting venue for the participants: they could visit the university museums, attend lectures by the leading experts, as well as climb to the SUSU observation deck, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the whole city of Chelyabinsk.
The forum participants’ introduction to SUSU began with their visit to the People and Technologies of the Urals University Museum, where our guests could admire the unique “Puzzle Box” exhibit presenting the traditional female jewels of the Turkic people from the Southern Trans-Urals region. Also, in the Art Gallery the participants could see the “Strength Is in Truth” exhibition of photographs by Sergey Kolyaskin dedicated to the special military operation.
“SUSU museums became a pleasant surprise for me. Each hall presented unique historical exhibits, which help us learn more about the history of our region and appreciate it. It’s great that the university has venues like that,” shared Artur Mazhitov.
Within the frameworks of the education block, the participants met the SUSU Acting Rector Alexander Wagner. He shared on the history of the university’s development, and also answered the questions from the audience which concerned the relevance of the modern academic programmes of higher education and the drawbacks of subject-specific education of senior school pupils.
“This forum has become an excellent platform for the experience exchange. Due to their young age, the participants of “The Urals Team”, as of yet, do not have the knowledge background and experience required of a competent leader. I believe that such programs are essential for fostering of the young generation of leaders. We are happy that our university has become one of the forum venues,” noted Alexander Wagner.
Speakers also shared their experience with the participants. Thus, Director of Soinvest Analytical Agency Anastasiia Kuzmina presented 7 secrets to project promoting in collaboration with the authorities. At the lecture delivered by the Director of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Lidiya Lobodenko, the forum participants learned about the mechanisms of using neural networks in marketing, about the approaches to studying media effects, and about the SUSU contribution to their development. Anna Cherednyakova explained the issue of media texts and the use of neural networks to cover the environmental problems in mass media and the currently available ways to solve them.
The visit to SUSU closed with climbing to the university observation deck.
