SUSU Launches a New Project for International Students: We Are in Russia

On February 1st, the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni will launch a new project — the We Are in Russia adaptation program.

In January the results of the grant competition of the Presidential Grants Fund were announced. The project of the Association—an adaptation program for international students We Are in Russia—won the grant competition. The project involves conducting classes aimed at integrating international students into the socio-cultural and legal environment of Russia.

Classes will be devoted to explaining the specifics of the Russian mentality and traditions, differences in cultures, norms of society, and the legal framework in an interactive format. This includes lectures, trainings, workshops, and meetings; a total of 24 sessions are planned. An entertaining game in the Quiz Please format held at the end of the project will allow students to reinforce their knowledge and examine the effectiveness of the sessions.

The project started on February 1st and will run for 5 months. International students in their first and second years of study at universities in Chelyabinsk are invited to participate in the program. To participate, you must complete questionnaire at this link in advance.

The project is supported by South Ural State University, the Main Department of Youth Policy, and the Centre of National Unity.
