SUSU Rector Aleksandr Shestakov Congratulates on Victory Day

Dear colleagues, postgraduates and students!

Dear fellow countrymen!

I sincerely congratulate you on Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War!

May 9th is one of the main holidays in the history of Russia. It became for us a symbol of the greatness of our compatriots who rallied in a difficult time and defended the borders of the Motherland. We bow before the dedication of those who defended the world from fascism and won our freedom. Time has no power over the memory of the heroic deeds and deeds of the home front workers. It is important to preserve and enrich this memory, carefully passing it on to the future generations.

The further the spring of 1945 goes into history, the more clearly we realize the historical significance of the Great Victory. This sacred holiday is a symbol of valour and courage, a symbol of faith in the unwavering strength of our people. This example of resilience gives moral guidance, helps to withstand difficult life situations.

We pay tribute of respect to the fallen warriors and those who managed to survive, passing the ordeals of war. We express our deep gratitude to the veterans for the accomplished feat and wish them health and longevity. It is the duty of each of us to preserve the truth about how the Victory was achieved and strive to be worthy of the memory of our ancestors.

The May holydays uplift our souls, inspire us to new achievements and to work for the good of Russia. The spirit of Victory leads forward to new successes and achievements.

Happy Holidays, dear friends! I sincerely wish you new achievements, confidence in the future and inexhaustible faith in the bright future of our country! Peaceful sky, health, happiness and prosperity to you and your loved ones!
