Applications are open for the 2021 Russian Federation Government Awards in Science and Technology (without age restrictions) and the 2021 Russian Government Awards in Science and Technology for Young Scientists (age of applicants, except for the research director of a team of young scientists, should not exceed 35 years), in accordance with the Provision on the Russian Federation Government Awards in Science and Technology approved by Resolution No. 544 of the Government of the Russian Federation as of July 26, 2010, and the Provision on the Russian Federation Government Awards in Science and Technology for Young Scientists approved by the Government of the Russian Federation in Resolution No. 601 as of August 5, 2010.
Projects are nominated for prizes by organs of state authority or organisations at meetings of boards of research, science, or technical experts. Organisations may only nominate one project each year for the award. Projects are accepted for consideration with a full package of materials and documents, which show the results achieved and their practical implementation no more than one year before the end of the application deadline.
Prizes are awarded each year to citizens of the Russian Federation (and stateless people) and research teams for the following achievements:
a) research and development and design work resulting in the creation and wide application of fundamentally new technologies, equipment, instruments, materials, and substances for production;
b) practical implementation of inventions opening new directions in techniques and technologies;
c) research and development projects applied in the field of surveying, extracting, and processing of minerals;
d) highly effective scientific and technical developments, implemented in practice in the field of production or the processing and storage of agricultural products;
e) significant results in research, development, and practical application of new methods and means in medicine and healthcare;
f) scientific, design, and technological achievements in the field of construction, architecture, and housing and communal services;
g) projects which contribute to solving the problems of ecology and environment protection;
h) research and development activities which contribute to the efficiency of the real sector of the economy;
i) scientific and technical research and development in the interests of our country's defence and security, the results of which are used to create new military and special equipment.
Applications for participation in the contest are accepted until 20.02.2021.
All project documentation is provided in Russian.
The prize shall not be awarded multiple times.
