On June 1, Children's Day, a unique film "Professions of the Future" became available for public access in Russia for the first time. The heroes of the film are ambitious schoolchildren: Kirill develops artificial intelligence, Sasha designs robots, Kristina invents a cell phone charger powered by the human body, Iulia launches industrial drones, and Misha creates an IT start-up that facilitates preparation for the Unified State Examination. In the film, they compete, invent a university of the future, travel and talk about what inspires them and what changes await us all in the nearest future.
The public release of the film "Professions of the Future", shot by the Sverdlovsk Film Studios jointly with the ART Production Studio, is a wonderful gift for young people at the end of a difficult academic year. As part of private screenings, almost 30 thousand schoolchildren from 70 regions of our country watched the film, 90% of the guys liked the film. This picture is able to inspire and motivate teenagers and young people to conscious study and achievement of high results.
"We've dared to premiere on the Internet and uploaded the film in a public domain, because we want to convey to millions of children that they can succeed here and now, that young age is the most precious time. On the one hand, the film answers their question of how to choose their path in modern times, when everything is changing so fast, and on the other hand, it gives many reasons for adults to think about the future and how to guide their children in the profession," says film director Tatiana Tretiakova.
Besides the content, the film is also innovative in its form: "Artificial intelligence (AI)" has become one of the "heroes" of the project. It is for the first time this technique is used in Russian documentary. AI independently and actively manifests itself in the film and provides additional information about all those on camera whom it is able to identify.
The main characters are gathered from different regions of our country. The project team filmed in the Ural region, the Far East, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, visited the Russian Quantum Centre, the Ostrov 10-21 Intensive Forum in Vladivostok, worked in the futuristic atmosphere of the Open Innovations Forum and at the opening of the 20.35 University (within the National Technology Initiative), which is known for its high-tech futuristic educational projects.
By the beginning of the academic year, the creators of the project are preparing for the release of the film "Professions of the Future 2", and this summer they will begin shooting the "Professions of the Future 3".
