SUSU PostDoc-2020 Program

Starting from February 7, 2020 applications for participation in the SUSU PostDoc-2020 contest are being accepted. SUSU PostDoc is a program for supporting the university’s research activity by attracting staff members. The program is being fulfilled through the scientific research being conducted by young scientists (postdocs) with the advisory assistance of our university’s scientists.

Currently, research studies are being carried out at our university by 18 postdocs from different countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, India, Croatia, People’s Republic of China, Tunisia, and Mexico.

Over the period of 2017-2019, 118 articles with postdocs as co-authors have been published in highly rated scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases.

The SUSU PostDoc-2020 contest is held in two rounds:

Round I (internal): contest of scientific project advisors. Qualified as participants are university members of the academic staff, whose research work’s topics fall within the priority fields of the university development, as well as cross-disciplinary research studies.

The university’s priority fields of development include digital industry, materials science, ecology, as well as cross-disciplinary research.

A scientific project advisor’s application must include: a brief description of the project, for which young scientists (postdocs) are planned to be attracted; requirements to the competences of young scientists and the results planned to be obtained through their work. Scientific project advisors’ applications will be accepted through February 25, 2020 at: subbotinati[at]susu[dot]ru.

Round II (external): postdocs contest. According to the project advisors’ applications that win Round I, vacancies will be open for postdocs on Russian and foreign recruitment platforms. The young scientists, who will pass the competitive selection, will be invited to our university for the fulfilment of the stated projects.

The postdoctoral programmes at SUSU are being fulfilled within the frameworks of the Project for the university's competitiveness enhancement among the world’s leading research-and-education centres (Project 5-100).

A postdoc is a research fellow (from Russia or foreign country) aged 35 or younger, who is also a holder of a candidate of sciences degree or a foreign-university PhD degree, and who is conducting research studies, speaks English, and has publications in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus databases. Both Russians or citizens of foreign countries can qualify as postdocs.
