Trade Union Committee of SUSU Provides Assistance with Finding Accommodation for Students

Starting from 2010, Accommodation for Students service has been functioning at South Ural State University. The SUSU Trade Union Committee, together with the university’s Administration and the Extracurricular Activities Department, provides assistance with finding accommodation for all students.

The Trade Union Committee constantly works on updating its own database of owners offering SUSU students to rent comfortable accommodation spaces on profitable conditions. Within 8 years, more than 800 people found a place to live in with the assistance of the Accommodation for Students service.

“This service helps students finding an available home and protect their money, as we only work with owners,” noted Gennadiy Budanov, Deputy Head of the SUSU Trade Union Committee.

It should be noted that about 30 long-standing owners regularly publish their rental notices only via the Accommodation for Students service. Moreover, specialists of the SUSU Trade Union Committee every day perform monitoring of the city immovable property owners database for presence of variants which would suit students, taking into account rental cost and location of the apartment.

When a student submits an application for finding accommodation, the Trade Union staff selects the notices out of the entire database which completely correspond with all the requirements. Due to this, students get released from additional expenses for realtor services.
