Pushkin Institute Centres in China Celebrated the Russian Language Day by Reciting Poems and Russian Folk Dancing

On June 6th, the Birthday of Alexander Pushkin, a ceremony of awarding students who had taken part in the calligraphy contest and Nationwide Dictation Quiz was held at Tianjin Foreign Studies University. All the participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs with the Pushkin Institute Centre logo. Students recited poems by Alexander Pushkin and performed Russian songs.

On June 11th, a gala show was held at Shenyang University of Technology during which students who had taken part in the calligraphy contest and photo contest were awarded. Students prepared different performances: recited poems and sang songs in Russian, as well as demonstrated traditional Chinese martial arts and Russian dances. The university Vice Rector delivered a congratulatory speech and wished students success in studying Russian language and culture. Academic Services specialist of the SUSU Pushkin Institute Research, Education and Coordination Centre Tatiana Beloglazova wished students success in their studies at SUSU in Russia, further strengthening of the collaboration between the universities, and new projects.

Moreover, demonstration lessons on the Phonetics of the Russian Language were held at the Pushkin Institute Centre at Shenyang University of Technology.
