SUSU Students Completed Their Study at Beijing Institute of Technology

In September of 2018, third-year students of SUSU’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science won the university’s grant for studying in the sphere of Computer Science and Technology at Beijing Institute of Technology. In the frameworks of the grant, students got paid residence and tuition within one semester.

Classes are held exceptionally in English. Students get familiar with fundamentals of Chinese language and culture during free courses organised at the Institute.

Students from Russia study together with students from other countries: France, Poland, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Argentina.

Aside from study, the university carries out various extracurricular events, for example, trip excursions around sights of Beijing. Sport is very well developed as well. Students frequently gather together to play football, volleyball, basketball, and tennis, because all of this is very close, right at the territory of the campus. Once a week there are Kung Fu and dancing lessons which help international students getting familiar with Chinese martial arts. One of the dormitories has a common study room where students gather together to complete their home assignments or simply talk to each other.

“We can surely say to everyone who still has doubts about the exchange programme, don’t doubt! This is an excellent way of meeting people from around the world, learning about a completely different culture, traditions and worldviews. Going on a trip to China and living in China for a semester is completely not the same. Thanks to SUSU for providing such opportunities for students. We know one thing for sure: we are coming back to Russia as absolutely different people!” said participants of the exchange programme.

Leading university located in the capital of China, Chinese culture – all of this leaves an unforgettable mark in the memory of students. If you want to take part in exchange programme and study in China or in Europe for one semester, or get a second degree from a foreign university, you can address the Centre for International Education (office 161, Eastern wing of the main university building).
