A regional school for the teams of student unions of conductors was held February 8th through February 10th at the Malachite Congress Hotel. Commanders, commissars, and masters participated in training to improve their psychological and leadership qualities.
The school included lectures from the commander and commissar of the Magistral Free Student Union of Conductors, where officers learned about the importance of motivation and leadership positions, and were reminded about proper documentation and how to prepare reports. The leader of the Chelyabinsk Regional Division of the Russian Student Teams All-Russian Public Youth Organisation Aleksandra Novikova showed the students examples of what a personal brand is.
The team members also had the chance to develop their own projects and calculate the cost estimates for their execution. After this, an expert in project work – commander of the Chelyabinsk Region student pedagogical unions – explained the basic errors to the students, focusing on the important points.
Commissar of the Rasstoyanie student union of conductors at South Ural State University Kseniya Podymova shared her thoughts about the school:
“The event was held in one breath. We received a lot of helpful information which will be of use to us in our future work with candidates. The lectures were so informative that there was no need for additional questions. I really liked the quest, it was very unique. Overall, the entertainment was great. Now we are all charged and fit for action.”
Besides the academic programme, the scouts completed a unique quest at the Chelyabinsk Main train station. The organizers of the school arranged a karaoke battle for the students.
As a note, the Chelyabinsk Regional Division of the Russian Student Teams All-Russian Public Youth Organisation held this event thanks to the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
