Institute of Open and Distance Education to Hold 2nd Festival of Online Education Interactive Universe

Institute of Open and Distance Education invites SUSU staff to take part in the 2nd Festival of Online Education Interactive Universe. The event will be held online, February 1st through March 19.

A series of master classes will be held for SUSU academics. The attendees will learn about the peculiarities of shooting a teaching video, about creative educational technologies, and will receive a number of helpful recommendations from specialists, who are successfully working in online education.

“This year we are offering the academics to take part in the contest of short lectures on the Wonderful World of Modern Science. Teachers will need to come up with an easily understandable form of telling about important discoveries (research studies) in different fields of knowledge which have been made in the 21st century, as well as to point out their attitude on the given issue. The team of the Institute of Open and Distance Education will render advisory support to all the participants and will provide them with the equipment required for recording of a video,” notes Deputy Director of the Institute of Open and Distance Education Olga Elagina.

The festival will also include the Creative Line creative tasks contest (for subjects listed on the Electronic SUSU web-portal) and a contest for the best feedback on the SUSU online advanced training course titled Knowledge – Actions – Results.

The key event of the festival will be the Internet Conference on Modern Information Technologies in Education. Prominent foreign and Russian speakers will share on the trends in online education and will present efficient cases.

Director of the Institute of Open and Distance Education Alexander Demin stresses: “Our festival is a platform where the participants can gain new knowledge and skills, present their own interesting innovations which help them make the process of online education most productive, and meet like-minded people.”
