The Department of Russian and International History Invites to a Meeting with a Researcher from Germany

A methodology master class by the Department of Russian and International History will be held at 16:00 on November 8th, 2018. Acelya Bakir, postgraduate student from the University of Düsseldorf (Germany) who is currently completing her internship at SUSU, will give a presentation.

This is the third time that Ms. Bakir comes to Chelyabinsk as a guest of SUSU. The first time, she was a participant of the summer school organized by the university; the second time, she came to the international Summer School as a lector. This time, A. Bakir will be presenting her research project entitled “Sehen, Hören, Mitmachen: Die mediale Inszenierung der Moskauer Schauprozesse in der Sowjetunion, 1936–1938” (“Watch, listen, participate: media dramatisation of the Moscow show trials in the USSR, 1936-1938”).

The event will be held in room 442 of the main building. All students majoring in history and in other liberal arts are invited as well as everyone interested in the issues of media sphere’s development in the past.

(The presentation will be made in Russian, discussion will be held in German and English; if necessary, consecutive translation will be provided).
