SUSU Presented a Report on Implementation of the Roadmap at a Meeting of the International Council

On October 26 and 27, the 11th meeting of the Council for Enhancement of Competitiveness of Leading Universities of the Russian Federation among World’s Leading Research and Education Centres (the Council of Project 5-100) was held in Kaliningrad. In the course of the meeting, results of each university’s progress within programme 5-100 were thoroughly analysed.

Let us remind that the International Scientific Council is a permanent consultative body, established for consideration of development issues of Russia’s leading universities. The Council includes both foreign and Russian representatives of research and academic society, public officials responsible for reforms in education, and globally acknowledged experts and researchers of higher education problems. Starting from 2013, 10 meetings of the Council have already been held.

The team of South Ural State University successfully presented a report on implementation of programme 5-100 at the university as of condition for the year 2018. SUSU has been taking part in the programme since October of 2015.

Upon results of the meeting, Council members will form their proposals and recommendation for both the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and for universities themselves. Based on the Council’s recommendations, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation will make a decision about continuing to provide governmental support to universities that are participants of Project 5-100 in the upcoming financial year, provided there are budget appropriations for stated purposes.
