The 21st Century University in the System of Continuing Education Conference is to Take Place at SUSU

On October 11–12, the 4th International Science-to-Practice Conference entitled “The 21st Century University in the System of Continuing Education” is to be held at SUSU with the purpose of expanding international and interdisciplinary cooperation of teaching staff, researchers, and other specialists in this sphere.

The Conference is held by South Ural State University under official support from the Union of Heads of Institutions and Divisions of Continuing Professional Education and Employers, the Council of University Rectors of the Ural Federal District, the Association for Engineering Education of Russia, and the the University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic, České Budějovice).

Within two days, experts will discuss global and particular problems of continuing education, such as:

  • Mission of a university in the system of continuing education
  • Problems of improvement of specialists’ training for priority areas of science and technology development of the Russian Federation
  • Structurisation of additional professional education on the basis of project-based directions of the university’s transformation
  • Training of research and teaching staff for project and analytic activity for the university’s transformation
  • Digital transformation in the system of continuing education
  • Social partnership between employers and universities on teaching and learning support for continuing education, taking into account professional standards
  • Specificity of methods and organisation forms of continuing professional education
  • Acmeology-based approach to the identity of a continuing education teacher.
  • Master classes and roundtable discussions will be held within the Conference.

Upon conclusion of the Conference, participants will receive a Certificate on qualification enhancement (16 hours) in the program entitled “The 21st Century University in the System of Continuing Education”. A necessary condition is active participation in the Conference within two days, as well as in a master class (section) by the participant’s choice.

SUSU students and staff can take part in the Conference free of charge, as the audience.
