– Why did you choose SUSU?
– It was a student exchange program between SUSU and Hebei Institute of Foreign Languages, where I was a student.
– What’s the most amazing experience you’ve had during your studies at SUSU?
– Celebrating my birthday with my Russian classmates! Last year I broke my leg and I couldn’t go to school. My classmates came to visit me on my birthday and they presented a gift to me. They shouted ‘Congratulations!”. It was unforgettable!
I appreciate my experience at SUSU. I was lucky to have such incredible and responsible teachers. They helped me a lot. We’ve had a Chinese delegation here and they asked me if SUSU was a good choice for Chinese students. I told them SUSU is a great place to study. So many exciting events take place here! SUSU helped me to overcome my fear of public speaking.
– What are your plans for the future?
I’m planning to apply for a Master’s degree at SUSU. After that I’d like to come back to China and do something related to Russia. I don’t want to give up studying Russian.

– Why did you choose SUSU?
I chose SUSU because of many reasons. First, my program was in English, which is timesaving in terms of learning the language. Second, the admission process wasn’t too complicated. Third, SUSU has a solid computer science department with students who show great results in ACM (i.e. International Collegiate Programming Contest).
– What's the most amazing experience you've had during your studies at SUSU?
Successful submission of my scientific paper for an IEEE conference together with my advisor Valentin Golodov! The paper is based on the data I’ve obtained when working on my thesis. It’s about the use of deep recurrent neural networks for speaker recognition and speech separation.
– What advice would you give to future SUSU students?
I think they should know what exactly they want to study and why. They shouldn't get a degree for the sake of just getting it. Nobody is going to spoon-feed you with knowledge, you should actively seek it yourself. Enjoy your learning and become successful.

– Why did you choose SUSU?
I came to Chelyabinsk in 2007 to work as an interpreter and then went back to China a year later. In 2016 I decided to continue my studies and chose Chelyabinsk again. I wrote to the international office at SUSU and they quickly responded. I liked their attitude and that was when I made my choice of SUSU.
– What’s the most amazing experience you’ve had during your studies at SUSU?
My experience at SUSU was positive. I studied at the Russian language department and I was lucky to have such great teachers. They were wonderful and hard-working and their lectures were easy to understand. My SUSU teachers will stay in my heart forever. The international team was great too, they were always helpful. They really know what to do with international students! I’d like to say a special thank you to the Accommodation Office. I have a little child and a wife who applied to SUSU a year earlier than me. The Accommodation Office gave our family a separate room. I appreciated it because I couldn’t work during my studies and I couldn’t afford renting a flat.
– What advice would you give to future SUSU students?
Study hard and respect your teachers. Learn about the migration policy and follow the rules. I wish future SUSU students great success in their studies!
