SUSU Takes Part in the Project on Internationalization of Agricultural Engineering Education under Erasmus+

South Ural State University is participating in the project on Internationalization of Agricultural Engineering Education in Russia, Iran and in European Union countries under Erasmus+.

The project is based on the best educational traditions of the partner universities and is devoted to development of a curriculum oriented at modernization, and bringing the systems of higher education in the field of agricultural industry engineering in compliance with the Lisbon Strategy and Bologna Process in Russian and Iran universities. It will be fulfilled jointly with Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany), University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia), and University of L'Aquila (Italy). Russian participants of the project include Astrakhan State University, South-Russian State Polytechnic University, Stavropol State Agrarian University, Volgograd State Technical University, and South Ural State University. On behalf of Iran the participants are Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University, and Babol Noshirvani University of Technology.

The existing curricula will be updated and modernized in such a way that they include innovative practice on professional training and building professional connections.

The goal of the project is developing the Master’s program on agricultural mechatronics, organizing a network of multinational interaction by creating Internet-educational platforms, strengthening the potential of partner universities, developing online courses within the frameworks of the summer school among universities being partners of Erasmus+ Project.

The second very special goal is to improve the intercultural influence, as well as interaction between professors and students based on a wide range of cultural traditions of the partners.

The innovative nature is related not only to the content of the courses, but also to interactive platform of information and computer technologies which will help create a wide network between the universities. Besides the above mentioned it is planned to develop online courses under the project’s summer school, which boost the interactive character of the educational process and the dynamics of knowledge creation and knowledge exchange.
