SUSU Students Participate in Russian Contest “21st Century Leader”

South Ural State University students took part in the Russian School of Student Management “21st Century Leader” was held in Rostov on Don February 8th through 11th.

More than 200 people from 50 regions of Russia took part in the school, which also included finalists of the Contest for Best Organization of Student Club Management for Professional Academic Organizations and Higher Education Organizations. From 600 participants in the distance round, 96 projects from 45 regions of the Russian Federation, including our students, became finalists.

International students traveled to defend SUSU’s honor, among them were the President of the Association of International Students Alina Pavlyuk, and two persons in charge of their home countries’ categories: Uvindu Wijeweera (Sri Lanka) and Gabriel Lubo (Democratic Republic of Congo).

The team participants from the Association of International Students successfully presented their work and took second place in the category of the “Best System of Work with International Students and International Student Cooperation”.

The participants of the Contest for Best Organization of Student Club Management met with the Chairman of the Russian Union of Youth Pavel Krasnorutsky and the Chairman of the Association of Students and Student Unions of Russia Yulia Smirnova.

The Russian School of Student Management “21st Century Leader” is being held since 2000. The school offers training for groups from bodies of student management at professional academic organizations and organizations of higher education in Russia.
