By Decree No.1099 of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Veronika Skvortsova, as of December 27, 2017, the Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the SUSU School of Medical Biology Mikhail Berebin was named the Head External Expert for the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District.
Thus, the contribution of the oldest South Ural school for clinical (medical) psychologists for the health care system, not just in the Ural Region but in the country in general, also received additional recognition.
Over almost twenty years, the Department released more than five hundred specialists who are now working in medicine, education, social sphere, law enforcement, and security agencies.
The Department’s contribution to post-graduate training and practical activities for health professionals will now be recognized not only in our region and neighboring regions, but at the federal level as well.
The Ministry of Public Health of Russia rated highly the large practical experience and organizational and research potential of Mikhail Berebin, who has become a recognized specialist in clinical psychology in the last decade. This recognition and new status opens up new possibilities for the SMB and South Ural State University in the development of training and continuing education for staff for health services and making new contributions to the protection of the psychological health of the population of the Chelyabinsk Region, the Ural Federal District, and the country as a whole.
