On October 20th, the SUSU Faculty of Chemistry celebrated its anniversary – 10 years since the founding date. A concert was held in honor of this holiday in which the university administration, staff, students, and partners of faculty attended.
South Ural State University Rector Alexander Shestakov offered a congratulatory speech to staff and students.
“Dear teachers and staff of the Faculty of Chemistry, I congratulate you with the 10 year anniversary of your Faculty and I want to wish you, first of all, excellent health, success in education and research, and all of the best,” said Alexander Shestakov.
Vyacheslav Avdin, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, spoke on the Faculty’s successful work and its achievements.
“There are 5 research groups created in our Faculty which actively work and publish their findings. Because of this we are one of the leaders among structural divisions for research. In our 10 years of existence, we have had 2 doctoral and 12 candidate dissertations defended, and more than 300 articles in journals indexed in the WoS and Scopus international databases. Graduates of our Faculty are in demand both in leading businesses of the region as well as in other cities in Russia and all around the world,” stressed Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Vycheslav Avdin.
The Faculty was also congratulated by its colleagues from the university’s other divisions, from other institutions of higher education, graduates from previous years, and partners. In addition, performances by the SUSU Art Center livened up the holiday.
