Partnership Aiming for the Future

 

SUSU representatives are off to Bishkek as part of an official delegation of the Chelyabinsk Region in Kyrgyzstan.

An official visit of a delegation from the government of the Chelyabinsk Region will be held July 19th-20th in Bishkek. On those days, in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, politicians, bureaucrats, workers of the academic and health industries, businessmen, and manufacturers will take part in the complex, international project – Chelyabinsk Region Days in Kyrgyzstan. The delegation in Bishkek will include members of the SUSU Office of International Affairs.

The university's delegation, headed by the vice rector of international affairs, President of the socio-economic development fund Eurasian Community, professor Viktor Katochkov will take part in discussing areas of developing partnership with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Bishkek Humanities University, and the Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, a panel discussion, dedicated to the paths of developing two-sided relationships between Russia and Kyrgyzstan at the inter-regional level, will be held on July 20th as part of the visit to Bishkek at the Academy of State Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The discussion will bring together leading specialists. Bureaucrats, political scientists, sociologists, economists, and representatives of the mass media from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries of the central Asian region will discuss strengthening Kyrgyzstan's political stability in the context of global geopolitical challenges and the modern realities of Eurasian integration. Kyrgyzstan is an important geopolitcal partner for Russia in the matter of ensuring the safety of the European space, which determines the relevance of the expert evaluations raised in discussing the topics.

However the main topic of discussion is analyzing the possible forms of economic partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan at the regional level. The experts plan on determining the modern challenges in economic safety in light of the political situation around the coming presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan; examine the effect of the electoral processes on the economic stability in the country; and analyze the path of reducing economic risks and supporting the strength of economic strength by activating partnerships with regions of Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

The panel discussion was organized by the initiative of South Ural State University and the Socio-economic development fund European Community. As one of the border territories of Russia, the South Ural region is extremely interested in the development of connections in foreign trade, academics, and culture with countries of central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan.
