There is a new section opening on the South Ural State University site - the Professor's Lounge. Academic and business partners, Russian and international applications and their parents, students, post-graduates, staff, employers, and media representatives can now get acquainted with the scientific elite of our university who have been recognized by the Russian and international scientific society.
Today the first group of material about 16 leading SUSU researchers has been published. Among them are: SUSU rector, doctor of technical sciences, professor Aleksandr Shestakov; SUSU president, member-correspondent of the Russian Academy of Sciences, doctor of chemical science, professor German Vyatkin; SUSU vice-rector of strategic development, doctor of technical sciences, professor Andrey Keller; lead researcher of the RAS UrO Institute of History and Archaeology, doctor of historical sciences, assistant professor Andrey Epimakhov, and more.
All of them have significant scientific achievements and notable research results in such areas as engineering, supercomputing, natural and humanitarian sciences, and human sciences. The developments of our researchers, their inventions, and their unique scientific findings are already sought after by Russian and international businesses and organizations.
Each of them have made great contributions to the establishment and development of the university, combined research and academics over several years, have their own school of science, have opened new laboratories at the university, and lead the work of young researchers.
Each of the representatives in the section about professors has a solid number of publications in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and has a high citation level.
The first stage of realizing the “Professor’s Lounge” internet project is just the beginning. Soon, names of international researchers who are actively working with our university to develop bleeding-edge scientific areas will be added to the Professor’s Lounge. And, of course, pages of the university portal will constantly be updated with new names of SUSU researchers who are creating history in the scientific life of our university and contribute significantly to the realization of programs of the 5-100 project aimed at improving SUSU’s competitiveness in the international academic society.
