The SUSU department of foreign languages is organizing a seminar on December 19th, Introduction to English as a Medium of Instruction. The creator and moderator of the seminar is Tony Bryan, expert in the area of developing courses for teaching academic disciplines in English.
English as a medium of instruction (EMI) is a growing global trend dominating higher education. In many European countries, more than 70% of courses for graduate and postgraduate students are taught with English as the medium of instruction.
The 5-100 Project is aimed toward international education, the creation of an English-speaking space in research universities, and achieving a few select ambitious goals. These goals are: becoming an international-level university, developing new, quality educational programs, providing lectures for international students in bachelors’, masters’ and postgraduate programs.
The seminar begins at 15:20 in the Sigma conference hall (Prospect Lenina 78v.)
The working language for the seminar is English.
Participants and graduates of the Lingva Intermediate-level program are invited to participate.
