SUSU Won a Subsidy for the Foundation and Development of a Center of Computer Engineering

SUSU achieved victory at the open, public contest for the presentation of government support of pilot projects for the foundation and development of engineering centers organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The strategic program for the development of a Center for Computer Engineering at our university was developed by the SUSU Center for Project Management under the guidance of the pro-rector of strategic development, Andrey Keller, and through the active participation and support of OJSC “KAMAZ”.

The goal of the pilot project is the formation of a center at SUSU to offer engineering services with the use of a combination of CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM/PLM to organizations of the real sector of economy, including offering services to its strategic partner, OJSC “KAMAZ”.  In addition, the goals of the SUSU Center for Computer Engineering include the promotion of innovative scientific research developments which support the phase-out of imports in the areas of automobile and transport machine building of the Russian Federation.

The envisaged work of the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering are consistent with the program for innovative development of OJSC “KAMAZ” until 2020.

Government support of the project includes a subsidy of 100 million rubles for the 2016-2017 period. Annual support to the SUSU Center of Computer Engineering will be more than 100 million rubles from 2018.
