The Best Young Teacher in Russia Works at SUSU

Tatyana Kachalova, senior lecturer of the SUSU Faculty of Economics and Finance has won the fifth all-Russian competition, “Best young teacher of higher and professional education in 2016”. The results were announced and winners were awarded yesterday, May 18th, at MIA “Russia Today” (Moscow).

“I already have some experience participating in such contests on the university level, but I decided to not stop at the level I had reached, and try out a contest on an all-Russian level. I am overflowing with emotions, I’m very happy to have won,” said Tatyana, sharing her emotions.

We’d like to note that this isn’t the first award for Tatyana Aleksandrovna. In May of last year, she won the “Best young teacher of SUSU” contest, and in December, she won the “Face of SUSU” competition in the “Best teacher” category. Tatyana Aleksandrovna has been leading classes at SUSU in statistics, history of economic studies, and industrial management in 2009.

There were more than 480 applications for the contest. In the on-site portion of the contest, more than 25 finalists fought for the top title, 15 of whom represented Russian higher education institutions. The teachers demonstrated educational techniques to the experts, created ‘business cards’ in an electronic presentation format, held master classes in a closed lesson format, and competed in contests of oratory art and improvisation.

The contest between university teachers and Russian colleges was organized by the “Rosating” agency and the Moscow Academy of Finance and Law (MAFL). The winners received trophies, first-place diplomas, and a gift certificate for free education in the Mini-MBA program and MAFL.
