Master Thesis of a Graduate Student of the Department of Accounting and Finance Was Highly Praised by the Ministry of Education of Iraq

Master thesis of a graduate student of the department of accounting and finance, a native born Iraqi Ahmed Abd Zaid Abdulwahid, who completed his studies in 2015, has been highly praised in the historic homeland of the master student.

Ahmed Abd Zaid Abdulwahid has provided documents according to which his thesis scored 99 points out of 100 in terms of quality assessment to the Department of Accounting and Finance. Thesis of a student has successfully passed the test in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations and the Department of Evaluation and Equivalent Certificates. A corresponding administrative order No. 28290 has been certified by Dr. Ahmed Hamdi Al Husseini, Deputy Director General of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations, and provided to the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Institute of Economics, Trade, and Technologies of SUSU in the original and in the official translation into Russian. The thesis of Ahmed Abd Zaid is dedicated to comparative analysis of the banking systems in European countries and the Middle East. Islamic banks differ from the European ones in the fact that they only cash on revenue share, so the selection of customers for crediting is very strict. Based on the study Ahmed suggested a number of recommendations for improving the banking system in Iraq.

Currently Ahmed Abd Zaid Abdulwahid is working in Iraq in the audit company and preparing documents for admission to doctorate studies of SUSU with the major in 05.08.00 ‘Economics and Management of National Economy’. According to the graduate student of the Department of Accounting and Finance high evaluation of his master thesis has greatly increased his chances for development of a successful career.

It is to be recalled that earlier, in summer 2013, three citizens of Iraq, Ranj Hasim Mohammed Al Kamali, M. Ameen Bakhtyar Basheer, and Bahjat Shorash Dlar also graduated from the first group of master students with the major in ‘Accounting, Control, and Management of Organization’. Despite the fact that Russian is not the native language for all three of them they managed to finish master studies with honors!
