South Ural State University has been cooperating with Clark University (the USA), which is located in the city of Worcester (the State of Massachusetts), for over four years. During this period a number of commencements have been held: two in Russia and three in the USA. More than 100 students have completed this program. Upon completion of this program the defense of “Capstone” graduate qualification work is conducted.
“Capstone” is a scientific and practically oriented program under the direction of academic instructors who specialize in certain fields. The defense of graduate qualification works is held in the form of conference with the participation of professors of Clark University.
In the framework of this Master’s Degree program the possibility of study in the USA during one or two semesters is provided. Those who for some reasons don’t want or don’t plan to go to the USA, it is possible to attend courses of academic instructors of Clark University not traveling away from their home country in the partner university of SUSU – Astrakhan State University.
Having studied during two semesters in the USA, students defend their Master’s theses in Clark University. Those students who have studied abroad during one semester defense “Capstone” in SUSU.
Besides “Capstone”, Master’s Degree students defense their graduate qualification works in SUSU. Previous week the defense of graduate qualification works of first graduates of “Professional Communications in Human Recourses Management” joint program.
According to professors of Clark University and the management of joint Master’s Degree program of both universities, the defense of projects was held excellent. We congratulate our Master’s Degree students with successful defense!
