Contest of graduation theses on commerce started at Trade and Economic Faculty

The first round of All-Russian contest of graduation theses on commerce (field of study: Business) started at Trade and Economic Faculty. The contest is organized by Trade Economics Department of Trade and Economic Faculty. This kind of competitions has been held since 2004 thus this year the contest celebrates its anniversary.

The jury of the contest has been headed since 2004 by the most prominent specialist in the sphere of commerce activity and logistics Alexander V. Zyryanov, PhD in Economics, Professor and founder of logistics school in the Urals region. Also the jury comprises the leading professors and practicing specialists in the sphere of commerce activity and supply chains management, and entrepreneurship economics. The significant peculiarity of the contest is participation of commercial directors of major industrial enterprises and commercial networks in the judging activity.

The first round of the contest will be held in the course of March. Then the best theses considered by jury will pass to the second regional round which will be held in the last decade of April. The regional round of the contest will be held within Trade Economics Department of SUSU Trade and Economic Faculty as well.

The graduation theses represented at the contest will be considered in the following nominations: commerce in sphere of industrial complex, logistics, organization and improvement of wholesale and retail trade, commercial network, competitiveness improvement of commercial enterprises, marketing activity of commercial enterprises and complex improvement of goods and services.

For several years the contest has won recognition in academic and business spheres. The diploma of the contest winner can be very useful for the future economist and serve as an additional argument for an employer while offering a work place.
