International Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems: ITS - 2013 was held in Moscow in the Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre” with the assistance of Moscow Administration, Traffic Committee of State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Public Chamber under the President of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, International Road Federation, OAO Russian Railways, International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and public organizations of Russian transport complex.
The following world and Russian leading companies in the sphere of ITS development and implementation confirmed their participation at the congress: ITS America, ITS Italia, ITS UK, ITS Ireland, World Road Association (PIARC), Xerox Services, IRU, IRF, Kapsch TrafficCom, Ove Arup and Partners, Vaisala, ZAO Aerokosmicheskie Tekhnologii, ZAO Tranzas Express, ZAO NIPI TRTI, OAO Russian Railways, ZAO NIIAS, GC DORSERVIS, Mosavtotrans enterprise and other companies and organizations.
In the course of the congress the following professors of South Ural State University were involved: Oleg N. Larin, Head of Automobile Transport Operation Department, Konstantin V. Glemba, Associate Professor and PhD student of Automobile Transport Operation Department, and Alexander S. Lazarev, Postgraduate of ATO Department, who undertook the internship on “Intelligent transport systems in increasing energy and resources efficiency of transport means operation” at International Academy of Transport. The internship was carried out within the framework of South Ural State University Development program for 2010-2019 as the national research university.
The International Forum was devoted to the discussion of various contemporary issues concerning the usage of innovative solutions in transport complex, including: provision of effective transport means operation, usage of intelligent technologies for complex transport safety, development and improvement of transport complex, investment attraction of transport complex, state-private partnership, training of specialists, scientific and personnel provision of ITS development and operation.
Head of ATO Department Oleg N. Larin reported at the congress and informed about the scientific researches of the Department staff in ITS sphere; then Oleg Larin was awarded with diploma for high research level presented at the exhibition which was held within the framework of International Congress.
