On June 20th, South Ural State University gave start to this year’s major event, the 2026 Admissions Campaign! Artem Florenko, who had finished school No.9 at Krasnogorsky settlement, became the first applicant to submit his documents for enrolment.
As the tradition goes, the first guest of the Admissions Committee was welcomed by the Rector Alexander Wagner. The future student received university-branded souvenirs as a gift and a nice token of his first step towards obtaining his profession:
“SUSU is a truly iconic place for our city and our region. It provides all the conditions for quality education, professional development and self-fulfilment of students. Every year, our university updates and improves our academic programmes, and adapts them to modern state requirements, demands of the economics, and expectations of employers. It is especially nice to know that our first applicant has chosen one of the advanced fields of study. I wish him successful and fascinating student life and to become a highly-qualified specialist, who will be in-demand on the market.”
Artem submitted his application to the Mechatronics and Robotics Faculty, under an employer-sponsored program. It is an advanced and up-to-date field of study that opens up wide opportunities for professional development in high technologies. This academic programme’s graduates are engaged in designing of intelligent robotic systems, automated production complexes, as well as innovative solutions for industry and other sectors. Today, mechatronics and robotics specialists are among the most in-demand ones in the labour market, while their competences play a key role in the development of our country’s economy and technological sovereignty.
“I’ve chosen the Mechatronics and Robotics programme because I’ve been engaged in this field for about five years now. Over this time, I’ve managed to participate in many regional and national contests on robotics and achieve good results. I’d like to continue my development in this field. I’m truly very interested in modern technologies, programming and creation of robotic systems. Among others, one of my friends, who enrolled in the same programme last year, told me about SUSU. He spoke really well of the educational process, the teaching staff and the opportunities for students. His experience became and additional argument for me while choosing my university. I hope that my student years will be events-packed and interesting, and my training will help me gain quality knowledge and become the industry professional,” Artem shared his impressions.
The Admissions Committee staff gave a warm welcome to the first applicant, helped him fill out the required documents and answered all the questions that interested him. The future student himself confessed that he decided not to delay the application submission and take the first step towards his dream profession beforehand.
“Today, the atmosphere at SUSU is truly festive. We have already welcomed the first applicants of our Admissions Campaign. This is a proof that graduates of schools and vocational schools were really looking forward to the start of the acceptance of documents, and are ready to take the first step towards their future. Already during the first day we see the great interest in various academic programmes. Applicants choose majors in engineering, law, natural sciences, and many other fields of study. We feel confident that this high interest will continue during the whole Admissions Campaign, and we expect applicants to enrol in all the academic programmes of our university. This is always a symbolic moment for the university – a new chapter in life and beginning of a big journey for future students. Very soon, thousands of graduates of schools and vocational schools will join our first applicant. They are about to make one of the most important choices of their life,” noted SUSU Deputy Vice-Rector for Education (Career Guidance) Kristina Bogomazova.
Any applicant can submit his/her documents today, even if their Unified State Examination results have not been officially published yet. Thanks to the Gosuslugi service portal, data will be automatically uploaded to the personal application right after these are added into the system, and will also be displayed in the competition lists. This makes the enrolment process most convenient.
Ahead are the events-filled summer, new acquaintances, consultations, choosing of academic programmes, and of course, the long-awaited lists of those recommended for enrolment.
