The Ecoanalytics Shared Use Centre, a laboratory opened by the Chelyabinsk Region Governor Alexey Texler in December 2023, has been functioning at South Ural State University for several years now.
The Centre includes a mobile and a stationary laboratory.
The mobile ecological post is an automated complex equipped with modern equipment—everything an ecologist needs. Its purpose is to quickly monitor the environmental conditions by measuring various pollutants in the atmosphere.
The complex helps detect toxic gases in the air: sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, nitrogen oxide and nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, carbon monoxide, ozone, and organic compounds such as gasoline, propane, and mixtures of saturated hydrocarbons.
In addition, the mobile ecological post measures the levels of suspended particles (or "dust"), as well as carcinogens such as benzene.
The system also includes a mobile meteorological station, allowing for monitoring the dynamic air pollution: in case of wind shifts, temperature inversions, and various adverse weather conditions.
The ecological post is ready to travel to any location in the city and perform atmospheric air analysis in industrial sanitary protection zones, as well as in residential areas during the periods of adverse weather conditions.
"In 2025, our mobile laboratory received state accreditation, and we are now ready to enter the atmospheric air analysis market," noted Aigul Kirik, Head of the Ecoanalytics Centre.
In 2025, the Ecoanalytics Shared Use Centre confirmed its competence by receiving accreditation from the Federal Accreditation Service and being assigned a number in the register of accredited entities: RA.RU.21RU63.
The capabilities of the Ecoanalytics Centre are available to government, industrial, and commercial organizations in the Chelyabinsk Region. All you need is just visit the Centre's website, review the equipment's specifications and capabilities, and the list of tasks the Centre handles, and submit an application.
