The best AI specialists in Russia are trained at the universities participating in the Priority 2030 program and the Advanced Engineering Schools project. This is the conclusion made by experts of the third annual AI Alliance's Ranking. They assessed 203 universities from 68 regions of our country.
According to the Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov, employers will find this ranking helpful when recruiting AI specialists.
“Today, the whole world stands on the verge of a new technological paradigm, and artificial intelligence is one of its key elements. In this context, Russian universities need to train qualified specialists in command of the required knowledge and skills as soon as possible. The AI Alliance gathers representatives of the university community and business, who together discuss the challenges that the higher education systems faces due to the massive implementation of artificial intelligence in various sectors of economy. An important result of such joint work is the formation of a ranking of universities regarding the quality of training AI specialists,” stressed Valery Falkov. “This year this ranking is presented for the third time, and it can already serve as a reference point for technology companies hiring graduates.”
This year our university is included in С++ group, and it topped other universities from the Chelyabinsk Region.
The assessment was based on open-access data. Experts analysed the opinions of more than 150 employers in terms of the demand for graduates and evaluated the survey forms on the quality of education filled out by more than 12 thousand students. This information was collected through verification at personal accounts, what made the ranking fully transparent.
Among the ranking participants were universities offering Bachelor’s and Specialist degree academic programmes in artificial intelligence. Today, more than 6.5 thousand future AI specialists take training there.
