The pride of the institute are the Virtual Reality and Migration Studies international research laboratories, Research and Education Centres of Neuromarketing Technologies and Practical and Applied Philosophy; a world-class digital multimedia complex − SUSU-TV Television and Radio Company, SUSU Radio Station Teaching Laboratory, SMART University newspaper; 360-Degree Multimedia Newsroom, and Photography Studio. At the premises of this complex, by the decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Regional Student Media Centre was opened, which became a media platform uniting students from 8 universities of our region.
The main objective of the Student Media Centre is to provide future journalists and media communicators with the opportunity to form a relevant and interesting information agenda in the student environment and social media. Another popular educational product is the new Master's degree programme in philosophy, 47.04.01 Digital Society and Technological Ethics. Master's degree students acquire skills in managing social processes in the context of total digitalization of public life. Graduates of this programme will have knowledge of the achievements of technological development, the ability to comprehend socio-cultural prospects, forecast moral conflicts and conceptually construct ways to solve them.
The SUSU Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities implements a modern educational model, which includes project-based learning, special courses of digital departments and minors with a set of unique professional competencies, as well as modern online educational courses.
