This week, May 19th and 20th, Scientific and Technical Conference “Prom-Engineering” is being held at SUSU. This conference is dedicated to the discussion of modern accomplishments in the area of industrial engineering.
The conference is being organized as a means of supporting interdisciplinary discussion and the publication of the results of scientific research works. Within the event, the most prospective areas of research and accomplishments in the area of industrial engineering will be discussed.
On Tuesday April 26th the “Socio-economic Development Initiatives of EEU Countries and Questions About Conjunction with the ‘Silk Road Economic Zone” round table was held at the Kazpotrebsoyuz Karagandinskiy Economic University.
The round table was held on the eve of the IV International Investment Forum KaragandaInvest 2016. Organizers included the Fund for the Socio-economic Development “Eurasian Community”, South Ural State University, Kazpotrebsoyuz Karagandinskiy Economic University, and the regional national chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
On April 22, 2016 Tomsk State University (Novosibirsk branch) held III International Film Festival of Student Films on Forensic Science “Golden Trail”. The team of the Department of Forensic Enquiry of the Law Institute of SUSU earned the second place in the nomination “Criminalistics Cases” and a diploma for the best soundtrack.
On April 23 a special event for students who are interested in software development, i.e. the Russian final round of the Imagine Cup 2016 competition was held in Moscow. The Digital October hall welcomed smart young people who are into information technology.
The event was organized with the support of Microsoft. The best 20 student teams from all over Russia took part in these competitions. The winners were chosen in such categories as “Games”, “Social Projects” and “Innovations”. The best projects qualified for regional competitions were presented in Moscow.
Work on the first electrocart in Russia was completed at South Ural State University. The authors of the project were: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the faculty of "Electric Motors and Industrial Installation Automation" Evgeniy Belousov and master’s student Aleksandr Sobachkin.
Aleksandr was responsible for the mechanical part, completing the electrocart planning and assembly.
From September 20th to 23rd of 2016, the Second All-Russian Scientific Forum “Science of the Future- Youth Science”. It will be held at the same platform as the Second International Scientific Conference, “Science of the Future”.
South Ural State University is now officially represented at http://studyinrussia.ru/. The portal developed by the 5-100 Project Office is designed for attraction of foreign students to Russian universities. Possibly, for the first time in the history of higher education the most relevant and needed information about advantages of studying at the best Russian universities is posted on the website.
On April 22nd at the South Ural State University, the regional stage of the All-russian Contest "IT-breakthrough" was held. The contest is held in 35 regions of the Russian Federation. The goal is to find and support young IT-innovators, and also to create ideal conditions for work in Russia. Companies “Roselectronica” and Softline were the event’s organizers.
In December of last year the 7th Open Championship in Project Management among general and professional educational organizations began as part of the Governor’s Cup of the Chelyabinsk Region, PMCup. The SUSU faculty of Economics and Project Management introduced and executed this championship with the help of the Office of Youth Politics at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk Region.
The third and final stage of the Russian Student Mathematical Olympiad among students of technical and mathematical majors in technical universities was held in Ufa, on the campus of the Ufa State University of Aviation Technology.
49 students took part in the event, representing universities of Moscow, Novosibirsk, Perm, Samara, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, and other cities.
The 11th International Scientific Conference for Students and Young Researchers, “Science and Education – 2016” was held on April 14th in the Gumileva Eurasian National University (Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan) and coincided with the university’s 20th anniversary. Three master’s students from SUSU participated in this event.
Special events will be held on April 22nd at SUSU within the anniversary program “One Culture. One Past. One Future: Dedicated to the 105 Year Anniversary of the Birth of Soviet Poet, Mirzo Tursun-zade”.
The main cause for the anniversary event is that it has been 105 years since the birth of Tajik Soviet poet, Mirzo Tursun-zade.
Organizers of the round table include South Ural State University, the Fund for Socio-Economic Development “Eurasian Community”, and the S. Osimi Tajik Technical University.
On April 11 – 14, the 12th International Student Olympiad on Theoretical Mathematics was held in the city of Homel’ of the Republic of Belarus. The team of the South Ural State University has participated for more than 10 times in the annual prestigious competition and repeatedly took medal places.
1On April 13, the celebration of Aluth Avurudda, a national New Year in the traditions of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), was held. Aluth Avurudda is a family holiday. This day Sri Lankans who are far from their home country tend to come back home. Sri Lanka students of SUSU decided to share their joy with academic instructors and university friends.
On April 6, 2016 the Day of Arab culture, the festival with the participation of students from Arab countries, was held at SUSU. It was a big, informative event. The celebration was attended by students from six countries from the Arab region: Yemen, Egypt, Iran, Palestine, Syria, and Algeria.
On April 15th and 22nd, the third and final stage of the open championship in project management in the Chelyabinsk Governor’s Cup (PMCup), is being held.
An online teleconference will be held on April 13th as part of the 2016 EXPO-Build Russia conference at South Ural State University. The invited speaker is a specialist in green building from Kentucky (USA).
The students of the 4th course of the Faculty of Linguistics Kseniia Zyrianova, Olesia Krasikova, Iuliia Kungurtseva, Olesia Leshkova and Ekaterina Tamgina took part in the Homo Interpretan International Distance Olympiad. The event was arranged by the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of Volgograd State University together with the Union of Translators of Russia. The works were presented in the nomination of “French Language”.
On April 11 13, 2016 SouthUral State University will hold the XIV Russian competition (exhibition and conference) of young researchers ‘Step into the future, Junior’.
