Students of South Ural State University welcome spring with bright and delicious festivities

Students of South Ural State University welcome the long-awaited spring with bright and delicious festivities. Today, the university’s indoor athletic stadium has hosted the traditional “Pancake Run!”, a sports and gastronomic festival that annually brings together the most energetic and positive participants. The event has been organized by the SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service.

Vadim Erlikh, Director of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, addressed the students with a welcoming speech. He greeted the teams, wished them a fair fight and a great atmosphere, and emphasized that the most important thing in this competition is to enjoy the experience:

"We have been holding this event for several years now, and it is especially gratifying to see so many smiles and positive emotions today. I feel confident that this event will become a great tradition, with more and more participants each year. This event was created to bring together all of SUSU's schools and institutes, provide an opportunity to socialize, compete, and, of course, celebrate the arrival of spring with delicious pancakes!"

Teams from various SUSU schools and institutes took part in the cheerful competitions. To reach the main symbol of the celebration — golden brown pancakes — participants had to complete exciting contests at 10 stations. At each venue, teams demonstrated agility, strength, speed, and quick thinking while completing sports and game-based tasks.

“It was so much fun: the tasks seemed simple at first, but they really required true teamwork. The atmosphere was incredible — you could feel that this was not just a competition, but a big shared celebration. Events like this truly unite students and create memories that last for a long time,” shared Artem, SUSU student and participant in the event.

At the end of the competition, all participants received certificates and commemorative gifts, and most importantly, a boost of positive emotions and team spirit.

After the active challenges, athletes and guests enjoyed pancakes with sweet fillings and hot tea, which became a delicious finale to the eventful day.
