19th International Youth Cooking Festival Will Be Held Soon!

On November 28, 2025, South Ural State University invites pupils, students, and young professionals to participate in the 19th International Youth Cooking Festival.

This year's festival is dedicated to the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The festival brings together talented young people studying culinary arts, food technology, service, and design, creating a space for professional networking and creative expression. It is organized by the Department of Technology and Catering Organization at the SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region.

The main goal of the festival is to develop professional skills, exchange experiences, support young talent, and foster a food culture and respectful attitude toward national traditions among participants.

The festival will feature five creative and professional sections:

  • Culinary Arts and Service Class: demonstration of skills in food presentation and festive table setting;

  • Pastry Arts: signature creations and original dessert designs;

  • Art Design: artistic compositions made of food products;

  • Art Modelling: fashion shows and theatrical costumes created using food elements;

  • Culinary Traditions of the World: national dishes and cultural heritage of participants from different countries (in-person and online participation available).

Participants:

  • pupils of the 8th–11th forms of general education organizations;

  • students of vocational schools, technical schools, and universities (aged 17 to 23).

The festival is held in both individual and team formats. Participants' work is judged by a jury of leading experts in the restaurant, catering, and food industries.

Winners in each section will be awarded first-, second-, and third-place certificates and souvenirs, and all participants will receive participant certificates.

Letters of appreciation will be presented to heads of educational institutions and mentors.
