On June 2nd 2017 a round table was held entitled “Philosophy+Theatre”, the topic of which was discussion of the philosophical ideas of the play by the New Artistic Theater based on the novel by F.M. Dostoyevsky, Demons.
At the beginning of June, Tianjin Foreign Studies University held a forum “Innovations in Foreign Language Teaching in Russian and Chinese Universities in the context of One zone – One Path Initiative”, to which the head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language Elena Kharchenko had been invited. 14 representatives from 8 Russian universities and Chinese instructors of Russian, postgraduate and master’s degree students learning Russian took part in the forum.
Earlier, the university’s scientists more than once were involved in ecological projects of Chelyabinsk as experts.
South Ural State University and the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage have been cooperating at different levels for more than one year. Today the agreement on collaboration was signed officially. The Laboratory of Micropowder (Aerospace Technologies REC) has been operating at South Ural State University for a few years already.

Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin, a great Russian poet, who is often called a founder of the modern Russian literary language, was born 218 years ago. Today this language is studied not only by residents of Russia, but also by schoolchildren and students around the world. At SUSU the robot Vanya, which serves as a teaching assistant, helps to teach foreign students Russian.
The national university ranking Interfax 2017 has been published on June 6. SUSU was ranked among the best 22 universities of Russia and improved its performance by 16 positions in comparison with the previous year.

Summer schools for 8th-10th grade students of Chelyabinsk secondary schools will start working at SUSU from June 5, 2017. Classes will be held in the humanities, social sciences and economics, chemistry and biology, physics and mathematics.

South Ural State University provides an opportunity to plunge into the world of sports for all who wants to: annually at the parking lot in front of the main building the Sports Festival is held. This year, in the framework of the sport’s week the event was held on May 26.
For the participants, five sport grounds were organized: for streetball, flatball, archery tag, slacklining and even for checkers tournament.
For many young SUSU researchers and post graduates, May 2017 became a unique benchmark for reporting intermediate results of scientific achievements and setting future, long-term plans.
Today, the Department of Automated Manufacturing Engineering of the SUSU Polytechnic Institute are completing multi-profile research in current scientific areas important for the whole region.
