Description of the educational programme

The educational process and research activities offer the development of algorithms for estimating and controlling dynamic systems (DS) in situations with a high level of uncertainty of both disturbances acting on the DS and some interference in information channels. This is especially characteristic of aircraft control systems and their technological processes, what is complicated by the unique tasks set before the aircraft, and by the high degree of responsibility. In the case of single or rare events (a single flight to an asteroid, a few flights of aircrafts, a few launches of rocket vehicles, etc.), it is impossible to apply the mathematical apparatus of the probability theory.

To solve control problems in such informational conditions, a field of control theory, known as a guaranteed approach to controlling dynamic systems, has been created. This field offers to develop algorithms for estimating and controlling dynamic systems, and to develop mathematical and algorithmic support for the synthesis of control of dynamic systems in conditions of incomplete information, including:

  • algorithms for guaranteed assessment of the state of a DS;
  • algorithms for identifying disturbances and interference in the channel of the information-measuring system;
  • algorithms of adaptation in the problem of guaranteed assessment of the state of a DS;
  • synthesis of positional and terminal control.
