SUSU Accelerator: Results of the Ideas Generation Laboratory

As part of the SUSU Accelerator, a three-day “SkLab. SUSU” laboratory for generation of ideas of technological projects was organized. Its participants gathered a team, created ideas and developed their project. Experts from Skolkovo were invited to act as experienced speakers and mentors.

How to purify water from phenol, dyes and other pollutants created by humans? You can add some reagent to the water, but it might result in even more problematic pollution.

On September 6th, a ceremonial meeting of the staff of the Department of Metal Forming, or as many call it, the "Department of Rolling", was held in the Sigma academic building. Current employees, veterans, and industrial partners gathered to recall the glorious 70-year history of the department and look into its future. One of the guests of honour was Professor Vasily Kraynov, who had come to the department as a student in 1956 and left at the age of 80. He worked in one place all his life and never regretted it. Love Coast. Students from China Designed a Venue for Wedding Ceremonies at Lake Smolino

As part of their qualifying diploma paper, graduates of the SUSU Institute of Architecture and Construction Yiwen Bian and Xinyu Zhu designed a venue for wedding ceremonies at Lake Smolino. Three styles were proposed for an open space for ceremonies: European, Chinese and Russian. When designing the Chinese style venue, students decided not to opt for the traditional bright red colours so that the setting looked fresh and natural. A European style wedding, as the students see it, implies a lot of green plants and wooden arches symbolizing the Western culture chic.

A young scientist and Senior Research Fellow from the SUSU Laboratory for High-entropy Materials Majid Naseri is 36. He is working on the problem of creating high-entropy alloys. These are the alloys based on five or more metals, each of which adds to specific properties.
