On February 2 thirty future photographers of SUSU Technological College together with Pavel Bolshakov and Salavat Safiullin visited Ekaterinburg Museum of Photography named after Metenkov. The excursion was carried out by Evgeny Biryukov, the founder of the museum. The most part of his life the famous historian of Ural photography dedicated to the creation of this unique museum and publication of books about Veniamin Metenkov who was the photographer at Miass plant in 1880.
The professors of SUSU International Relations Faculty undertook the internship in China. The delegation comprised Vladimir Petrovich Gorshenin, Dean of International relations Faculty, Doctor of Science (Economics), and Yuliya Vladimirovna Babanova, Associate Professor of Anti-crisis Management Department, Candidate of Science (Economics) and Director of Research and Education Center "Innovation Management".
On Tatiana's Day, January 25, at Technological College of South Ural State University (National Research University) the festivous event "Star Olympia - 2013" dedicated to Students Day was successfully held.
This is the second year in a row that Automobile and Tractor Engineering Faculty of South Ural State University opens the championship "Virtuoso Driver" in Kunashak. This time, December 12, the enthusiasts of auto-event have met at the square in front of the Administration of Kunashak municipal region. 38 drivers came over there to participate in the championship and get their awards and first scores.
On December 24 there is the 53th Anniversary of the oldest creative association of Russian photo artists, national group “Chelyabinsk Photo Club”. This day as the anniversary is not chosen at random (nobody remembers the exact December date of the first amateur photographers meeting in the editorial office of the newspaper “Chelyabinsky Rabochy”): on this day Yury Leonidovich Teush, one of the founders of the Photo Club and its “engine”, was born 82 years ago.
The students of specialty “Photographer” of SUSU Technological College decided to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their specialty in a professional way. Twenty participants of the exhibition at SUSU “Play of Light and Shadow” decided to organize a photo session for the children from Yemanzhelinsk as a gift.
The students of SUSUFaculty of History led by Olga Igorevna Prosvirnina, Dean of Extra-Curricular Activities, and Ellina Magafurova, Faculty Union Leader, have visited their friends - children of the orphanage in Kuluevo village and congratulated them with the coming New Year.
One of the significant events of 2012 atFood Technology Faculty was "VI Interregional Youth Festival of Culinary Art" which took place on the 30th of November.
That day was very frosty reminding us that the winter had already come. Despite frosty weather the audience was quite active and that heated up the interest to the event.
This autumn within the framework of unique Russian project "Theatre+Society" supported by Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, in Chelyabinsk in SUSU Studio-Theatre "Maneken" (Filonov V.F., artistic director) held the long-awaited first night - performance "Story of One Mouse" / "История одной Мыши" based on the fairy tale of famous writer Lyudmila Ulit
South Ural State University held the seminar "European Project Management: Science of Writing the Successful Educational and Innovative Projects for European Grants". The lectures were given by Renate Eras (Germany), EU Expert in European Politics and European Support Programs.
Senior students of SUSU Faculty of Law Enforcement Officials Training held a meeting with representatives of personnel department of law enforcement agencies in Chelyabinsk region.
On the 21st of November at 13:00 there will be photography exhibition in the Gallery named after Yury Teush (8th floor in SUSU main building). Traditionally, this exhibition will be opened by German Platonovich Vyatkin, President of University.
“SUSU Photo School” holds the city Photo Quest of unusual form for the first time. The peculiarity of this Photo Quest is that the participants can do the tasks at the convenient for them time! But to get the tasks is not that easy!
The teams of three people each are invited! The registration of the teams is available up to the 18th of November!
It starts on the 19th of November and finishes on the 4th of December.

Last weekends the future photographers from five photogroups of SUSU Technological College had quite a hard tour to the most beautiful peak of the Ural Mountains - peak Shikhan (Vishnevogorsk).
From the 27th of October to the 6th of November Russian National Festival of Russian choral music of XX century "Nevskie Chorus Ensembles" took place in Saint Petersburg. For almost 30 years the Festival gets together the best professional and amateur groups of Russia and Eastern Europe countries. This year it was the first time when Chelybinsk showed among the other participants, it was South Ural University choir "Primavera" under the direction of Lopukhova N.M.
On the 10th of Novemver there was an open team academic competition in mathematics organized byMechanics and Mathematics Faculty and Applied Mathematics Department.
The students of joint Master's Program of SUSU and Clark University have English classes two times a week. On the 3d of November Group No.2 had quite an extraordinary English class.
The Master's Degree students of Group No.2 study the English language together with a group of listeners from Zhejiang University and this Saturday they all together with Chinese guys have celebrated Halloween on English class. The Master's Degree students thought over the contest games, sketches and the listeners from China prepared some performances as well.
SUSU Faculty of Automobile and Tractor Engineeringtogether with Chelyabinsk regional branch of Russian Auto Transport Federation and official distributor of MOTUL lubricating materials ООО “Yumaks-Chelyabinsk” on Day of Automobile Transport Workers prepared a rich program for the auto enthusiasts: during the daytime they organized rally “Student 2012” and closer to the evening everybody was invited to the night club for “Motorist’s Nights 2012” party.
On the 1st of November the Concert dedicated to Unity Day took place in SUSU. The Concert was organized by students of SUSU, university which adopts every year in its big friendly family the students of different nations and nationalities.
