Sc.(Economics), Associate Professor School of Economics and Management: Responding to Digital Economy Challenges School of Economics and Management is the engine for breakthrough changes happening at SUSU. The best scientific, academic and student traditions of the SUSU economic faculties are concentrated in this subdivision. The School of Economics and Management combines the professor and teaching body of the faculties of Economics and Management, Economics and Business, the Institute of Economics, Trade, and Technologies, and the International Faculty. Within the School of Economics and Management, ambitious projects are being released for the first time in the Ural region, such as the zone of elite training for applicants with high marks on the EGE, and the zone for elite business education in MBA programs. Students of the SEM will be actively involved in the innovative business sphere of the university (youth business incubator, innovation center, virtual bank and stock market, and so on). Among the most important advantages of the School of Economics and Management are – inclusion in the academic process such models and techniques of education as MOOC, LMS, E-learning, and the use of professional cases (Laboratory of Cases) within the academic process. Students of the SEM will go through their education in an English-speaking atmosphere. At their disposal: English-speaking education programs and international, world-class economists. The School of Economics will realize dual degree programs with leading universities of the USA, China, Europe, and countries of the SCO. The SEM structure offers strengthened mathematic training of economists. Thanks to tiered financial and grant support, students can fully dedicate themselves to their education. Research activity

The research of molecular mechanisms of chronic emotional stress development is the major university breakthrough in the field of human studies. Nowadays it is one of the most important fields of study due to the widespread chronic stress and the lack of effective means to eliminate it. The study of stress is one of the interdisciplinary research areas of South Ural State University. The Bachelors of Construction study the modern building materials technology, equipment, heating equipment, automation and other specialization subjects. Due to the knowledge and skills obtained during the programme our graduates are highly demanded by the construction companies and plants. 08.04.01 Construction Degree: Master Specialization: Building Materials, Products and Structures Production Study mode: Full-time (2 years) Entrance exams:  computer testing of the general cultural skills, computer testing of the professional cultural skills (according to the corresponding Bachelor Degree Programme), exam in special professional skills (determined by the Department Competitive Commission) The Masters of Construction are future researchers of building materials. They study the basic principles of structure formation and properties of materials, products and constructions. Their potential future positions are those of technologists or heads of departments of development and optimization of building materials technology, including the use of industrial by-products in laboratories of research institutes, design companies and plants. The Department of Building Materials and Products collaborates with a number of construction companies, including BASF (Germany, the branch office in Russia), Knauf (Germany, the branch office in Russia), Normet (Finland, the branch office in Russia), Magnezit Group (Chelyabinsk region, Russia), the Ministry of Construction of the Chelyabinsk Region (Chelyabinsk region, Russia). The department and its undergraduate and graduate students annually participate in construction and reconstruction of a number of objects in Russia and the Chelyabinsk region.

It accepts about 50 full-time, 50 part-time and 15 distance learning entrants per year. The majority of lectures is read in multimedia rooms and utilizes the department’s unique courses which reflect an unusual viewpoint on standard things. It allows students to understand and learn the material better. The special professional disciplines are taught by qualified professors, Doctors and PhDs with a large amount of experience in design, survey and construction. Our students have an opportunity to join in the scientific work of the faculty and, thus, get an incentive for self-improvement. Our graduates are highly demanded not only in the field of construction, but also in related areas requiring the knowledge of structure calculation. Master degree: Construction Specialization – Industrial and Civil Construction The specialization enables the alumni to work as heads of design and construction companies and apply their knowledge in teaching and scientific research.  The two-year programme provides students with a wide scope of skills in the most popular fields: economically sound decision-making during preparation of construction process and work performance technology. The Master Degree students regularly participate in more than 25 directions of the department’s scientific work. The department also provides all the necessary scientific and research equipment and software.
